For this module’s project we collaborated with De Museumfabriek to create an accessible digital sign system. The project involved redesigning standard signage and implementing text-to-speech functionality using the Web Speech API.

The system features:

• Noise Cancelling Headphones: Mounted on a stand for easy access
• Automatic Activation: Removing headphones reveals an interactive button
• Text-to-Speech: Converts displayed text to audio for visually impaired visitors
• Public Space Focused: Designed specifically for museum environments
